CYP with NDDs MESHD (n=371) compared to neurotypical controls, had a higher prevalence SERO of emotional symptoms (42% vs 15%), conduct problems (28% vs 9%), and lower prosocial behaviours (54% vs 22%). Those with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder HP attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder MESHD showed inflated conduct, and those with autism HP autism MESHD spectrum disorder exhibited decreased prosocial behaviours. Females TRANS with ASD had higher emotional symptoms compared to males TRANS.

Aim of this study was to assess the prevalence SERO of stress, anxiety HP anxiety MESHD, depression MESHD and symptoms related to post- traumatic stress disorder MESHD ( PTSD MESHD) across a sample of 45 adult TRANS subjects with High Functioning Autism HP Autism MESHD Spectrum Disorder ( HF-ASD MESHD) during the first two months of COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, with respect to a sample of 45 healthy controls ( HC MESHD). We also explored some specific aspects of their psychological well-being through an ad-hoc questionnaire. Our results showed subjects with HF-ASD to have higher rates of depression MESHD, anxiety HP anxiety MESHD, stress and PTSD MESHD related symptoms than HC MESHD during the first two months of COVID-19 pandemic. However, subjects with HF-ASD MESHD, with respect to HC MESHD, reported to feel subjectively more comfortable and less tired during the lockdown than before.
